ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Rodney Montreuil is the 2019 Tempe Mayor’s Office Martin Luther King Diversity Award recipient. He is a well-known educator and community advocate who has taught ESL job readiness, and business tech at various schools and vocational programs in Florida, New York, and Arizona for more than 20 years. He’s also been teaching high school mathematics and economics for more than 20 years. What makes his teaching appealing and efficient is his ability to connect his own experience as an immigrant and former English learner himself to his students’ own experience. He is knowledgeable, culturally sensitive, compassionate, reliable, and pragmatic. In addition to his extensive experience in government and nonprofit management, he detains a master’s degree in business education from New York University, a BA in Economics from Florida Atlantic University, and a BA in political Science/International Relations from the State University of Haiti. He is fluent in French, Spanish, and Haitian Creole.
